Scorbutico

A rebellious nature turned into excellence

Scorbutico is the most daring and identity-driven expression of Fattoria Le Bonille.

A rare wine, produced only in the best vintages from carefully selected grapes grown in Greti and Montefioralle.

Scorbutico - Descrizione:

Its protagonist is Teroldego Toscano: a fascinating yet complex grape, nicknamed “scorbutico” for its wild and unpredictable nature. What began as an agronomic challenge has become an oenological certainty.

The story begins with the founder’s intuition, inspired by Teroldego in Trentino-Alto Adige and determined to bring it into the heart of Chianti Classico—where it had never been grown before.

Through perseverance and the expertise of Daniele Innocenti, the grape found its balance, expressing a unique character deeply connected to the terroir.

And so Scorbutico was born: a wine whose name reflects its rebellious nature, inspired by the behaviour of the vine which, in the height of summer, seems almost to ‘turn its back’ before the harvest. A strong, never mundane personality that translates into an intense and distinctive sensory experience.

Produced in extremely limited quantities — around 1,000 bottles in the first vintage — it is a true rarity, intended for those seeking authenticity and character.

On the nose: violet, ripe red fruit, and elegant spicy notes with a distinct hint of pepper.
