The water lily, a symbol of elegance and purity, blooms in the lakes of our estates and gives its name to this wine, which will surprise you in the glass with its refinement and intense aromas.
This wine was born from the company’s clear intention to change course and finally produce a white wine in the heart of Chianti Classico—not merely as a decorative addition to the product range, but as a wine that could soon become a cornerstone of the region’s winemaking tradition.
After much reflection, we decided to use the rows of white grapes (Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia Bianca, and Chardonnay) found in our estates in Greti and Montefioralle—whose fruit was once sold for the production of Vin Santo—to create a wine that stands out for its elegance, both on the nose and on the palate.
The grapes, once harvested, are pressed separately and left to macerate with their skins for a few hours in cement vats. They then undergo alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, up until the blend is assembled just before bottling.
In this first vintage, 1,000 bottles were produced.
La Ninfea del Lago is a wine that presents a straw-yellow color. On the nose, there are prominent scents of white flowers and tropical fruits with yellow flesh. On the palate, it is balanced and fresh, with a hint of saltiness that enhances its drinkability.
This wine will be a great companion for your summer evenings and beyond, as its versatility makes it perfect for pairing with seafood dishes, vegetable risottos, and white meats.
